Did it take Ray Leonard & Marvin Hagler that long to agree on terms? How about Hagler & Hearns? How about Leonard & Hearns? How about Leonard & Duran? How about Hearns & Duran? How about Pryor & Arguello? Is Floyd smarter than those Legends? No chance. Those legends wasted no time to agree to terms and get it on, and multiple times. Floyd made Cotto & Mosley wait more than 10 years to fight him for being too dangerous. Floyd wants us to believe it's numbers we wouldn't understand. He's made Manny wait for more than four years by now. Those two could have had two super fights behind them by now. Floyd needs to grow a pair. He tires of answering the same questions about why he won't fight Manny, so they play the spin game.
Floyd was calling out Mosley for years before they actually fought and Cotto not to long ago admitted that he wasn't ready for a Floyd fight in the past. That whole Floyd cherry picking theory is getting old now dude.

Case in point using this poster as an example that yall *****s think too highly of Floyd. I bet you this guy also believes pacs nike contract was on ly 25k and pac biggest payday was 5 mil because floyd said so..

Wake up call..... not everyone is a floyd groupie.. Nor everybody bows down to floyd like his loyalists do... 40 mil sure is a long way from suckin his nuts though aint it. I know how degrading it must feel when Manny tells floyd to **** off with 40 mil al the while his fans would give all they have just to lick his balls.

Just one point, the fight has to sell enough to meet expectations. If the fight sells, 3 milvppv, then yes manny made a bad deal. If the fight sells 1.5 mil ppv, manny made a GREAT deal. So manny's gurantee, whether its good or bad business, is relative.
You're missing an important point. When Pac fights on a TR card, Arum pays him, to the tune of $26m or so. Arum keeps the rest, once the rest of the purses are taken care of. When Pac takes a flat fee to fight on a Floyd promoted card, say, he gets to pay Arum some minimum, usually said to be 27%. So the $40m and $26m are not commensurable, it's like comparing pre and post tax income. $40m is more comparable to the total revenue TR pulls when they promote a card, still not quite the same.

I agree it might be profitable for him to get away from Arum, but nobody knows what his buyout is, if there is one. Remember when Floyd bought himself out, he was a minor draw with the biggest PPV < 400k buys. Pac is TR's lifeline, and they'd price the buyout accordingly. Again, if there is one.

After watching Manny get his ass handed to him by old ass Marquez. And watching him struggle to finish off a hobbled Bradley in an unentertaining fight, he has NO negotiating power. I said this awhile ago. I knew all he would do is lose his negotiating power.

I didn't know he would look that bad. But now he's going to get ****d either way if he fights Mayweather. I'd give him 70-30 or tell him to beat it. Mayweather is going to make more than Pacquiao no matter who he fights. Bring on Canelo and he'll still make more than Pacquiao's last 2 fights combined.

That's what happen when you bull**** about all the terms, then agree to them after you get desperate. Well, how's 70-30 sound? No? Have fun setting up a 5th fight with Marquez or a boring ass Bradley rematch since you're scared to move up.

Pacquiao is pricing himself out and using it as yet another excuse to avoid the fight. He should be happy with a 70-30 or even 75-25 split considering the huge disparity in their purses.
Let's not get carried away. I think Floyd has the right to demand a 60/40 split if he wants to[he has enough leverage to call the shots], but anything above that is ridiculous. Manny is still a superstar despite his recent lackluster last two fights. To say he should be happy with a 70-30 or even 75-25 split would be consider as an insult.

60/40 would make Floyd a 50% bigger draw, it's a stretch IMO. 55/45 is pretty fair, esp since Floyd insists on promoting the event and getting most of the revenues beyond the ppv.

He simply doesnt have to take it. When floyd said "take the test and we have a fight ", he agreed and floyd came with another excuse. Its phony random testing anyways.

Now answer my question or duck it like floyd does Manny.
