Honestly, the whole P4P thing seems subjective to me. I'm not exactly sure what specific criteria a fighter has to meet, and always appears to be in debate.
This is the way I look at it. Floyd is as skilled if not more than Ward, has accomplished more and is undefeated in many more fights than Ward. As far as Martinez and Ward go you can make an argument for Ward being higher or lower than Martinez but I personally feel Martinez should be higher.

Seriously...wasn't the original BPP article about this something like "Dawson calls out Ward, Martinez at 168"...

If we could have done it at 170, it would have been better but [Ward] didn’t want to budge. He wanted to do it at 168. - chad dawson

and now apparently ward is talking about going to lhw soon lol...at least with the pac vs cotto catchweight pac moved up 6lbs from his last fight and cotto only had to go down 1lb from his last fight. ward didn't want to move up at all..not even have a cw of 170lbs.

Fighting @168 means he doesn't have to risk his own title, and beating Ward would've been his biggest accomplishment. It didn't happen, but he still has his LHW title.

This is Ward's first time where he's utilized weight to his advantage. Had Ward said to Dawson, "You gotta put your title on the line at a catch-weight," I would've said that he's taking a page out of Team Pac's playbook.
I doubt Dawson was worried about any titles. He just wanted Ward's name for his career as you said. The dude offered a 170 catchweight which means Ward titles would had been on the line and Dawson did it for a mere 500K. Didnt he get like 1M vs Hopkins? Pretty ****ty if you ask me. This fight should had happened at 175 and it wouldve done BIG BIG things for either guy's career had they won.

Lets try this again. I said Dawson called out Ward, (which he did after the B-Hop fight). Then you say Dawson initially (meaning 1st), asked for a catchweight of 170. This article only proved at some point that Dawson tossed out 170, (after), not initially calling out Ward on national tv to fight at 168. Good job of owning yourself though, try again. Even harder this time.

He quoted me & said Dawson initially asked for 170. Which he absolutely did not do. Like I said Dawson said he'd do it at 168 & payed the price.

This is sort of the double standard Im talking about here.

This thread is turning into a Pacquiao-Ward thread and that was definitely not my intentions. I shouldn't have mentioned Pacquiao lol...
