A lot of fighters have to do **** to get a shot at the money guy(s). You have to make money to make money in boxing... that's how it's always been and will be. I know that fighters will choose the high reward/low risk over low reward/high risk. It's the logical thing to do especially when you're putting your health and future money earning on the line. A lot of people ***** about it and call fighters names for doing it but you know damn well if you were put in the same situation you would take the high reward/low risk everytime. I wish they would take the low reward/high risk from time to time but it's wishful and illogical thinking. I figure if I wouldn't do it then why hold someone to a standard I wouldn't hold myself to... I don't want to be a hypocrite.
he sure did. he had to beat the great baldomir! why didn't jackson bonsu get a delahoya fight after beating baldomir? this just isn't fair.

It's not that Chavez is a "big" MW, he doesn't even belong at the weight. He's obviously weight-drained, yet he isn't smart enough to realize that if he moved up to SMW, his endurance/stamina would improve.

      • I like Martinez. Great talent. But Ward would DESTROY him.

problem is none of those guys will mix it with him so maybe sergio should call them out. another thing is sergio is 37 now and in his last fight he took alot of punishment.

agreed that floyd probably won't fight sergio and thats fair play. floyd himself is a medium to small WW so fighting a big LMW is too much of a risk. however floyds cherry picking of fights at 154 is not good for boxing.
Yeah, I'm not one for saying a much smaller guy like Floyd should take on Martinez but before his imprisonment he himself brings up the topic of Martinez and he'd give it a go at 154. Obviously it's typical Floyd showboating but he shouldn't say what he can't back up. I just can't imagine Martinez getting a fight with any of the big 3 at 154, I think he'll look for a Jr rematch because that's the biggest fight available to him.
