Definitely agree with that. Said the same thing in my first post.

You should feel embarrassed for making a thread about this. We all saw what happened.

What if they fought with AKs on the moon?
What if they fought underwater riding on the back of seahorses?

Point is, boxing is boxing. Not bare-knuckle boxing. And, by the way, if they did, then no-one is getting knocked out. Hands break much sooner than heads, particularly without the pickling techniques the old time bareknuckle guys used.

Ward is a better fighter now, this makes it worse for Carl.

Maybe it would've been a closer fight overall, but it still would've seen Ward clearly winning most of the rounds. He won their fight about 9-3, so unless he gets knocked out I don't see him losing. And I don't see him getting knocked out.

I think over 15 Ward stops Carl late.

Thats if 1+1=2 but in boxing we all know thats not true , over 15 Ward paces himself more , and Froch would also hold back more throughout the fight .

Those extra rounds are very much a part of the mindset going into the fight , training and game plan , if it were 15 they prepare for that .

Its like a 3 round guy fighting his first 8 rounder , his subconscious is concerned about gassing out and he will conserve more than he normally would , this happens all the way to elite level , so I think it would not have made a lot different just spread out what happened over the 15 .

Its one of those things that get said every fight when the loser finishes strongly , lots of racehorses get bet on because they came home strong last start , I really dont see this any different .
