Yeah, he's got a good chin. I'd say the 7/10 mark mentioned earlier sounds about right.

The Chavez fight was the only time I recall him looking seriously hurt. He lasted a 12 round war with P Will without ever looking particularly hurt, and took Chavez's shots for the first 11 (Although, it's not like he had to take many ) fine. And even when he was hurt he stood toe to toe and stayed standing.

It's not granite, but he's got a damn good chin, imo.
He was hurt in at the end of round 4 against Williams.

Remember,Margarito doesn´t count because he was a bum,the same with the damage Sergio received from Jr according to these nuthuggers.Somehow that automatically erases all the bad moments.Martinez is the perfect fighter to them.

his only prob. is his balance.. he often gets knocked down not because hes hurt, but because hes off balance. this can be attributed to the late start. a more seasoned pro wouldnt make these mistakes. like floyd for example. hes been boxing since the cradle and he has damn near perfect balance in the ring.

as for martinezs chin... hes only been seriously hurt twice by chavez and cheato.

I'd say 8. His chin gets credit for not buckling once more after taking 9-10 shots from Chavez after the knockdown, about 5 of those shots being hard.

It's not his stamina that's an issue. If Floyd is economical, Sergio is the opposite. His style requires tons of energy, motion, and movement.

For example instead of shooting the straight he lifts and flips up his left hand trying to land it.
