He took Jr's shots all night, and in the 12th he was knocked off balance and then hit with 2 shots he did not see and that is why he was hurt..i think he has a damn good chin but id like to know how ya'll rate it
How do you rate Sergios chin?

7 seems about right.
The Chavez fight was the only time I recall him looking seriously hurt. He lasted a 12 round war with P Will without ever looking particularly hurt, and took Chavez's shots for the first 11 (Although, it's not like he had to take many
) fine. And even when he was hurt he stood toe to toe and stayed standing.
It's not granite, but he's got a damn good chin, imo.Comment

i dont think it's anything to write home about.
when he first re-entered the top of the game i saw him cower away from shots some. that probably comes from his getting such a late start in boxing. an athlete like martinez needs 100% eye contact with his targets. he shouldnt be turning away from punishment, he should be getting the best look at it that he can and countering. i think he does that now. i dont think that he did when he first busted on to the american scene after the bunema win.
is his chin granite? i don't think so. is it bad? not at all. he's been in with good fighters who can **** a bit, and two very big MW in chavez jr and pavlik. kelly pavlik hits like a monster and chavez jr is a cruiserweight. he would have shown the evidence of some of the big punches hurting him if his chin was outright bad.
he recovers well. in the fight with chavez jr he was able to answer ever hard shot with one of his own, until the final round when he was badly hurt.Comment

I think it's good, he can take some good shots, he can be put on his arse, but he gets back up again. It's nothing like Khans chin that once hit, the legs and rest of the body just do their own thing. Sergio looked tired after his 37 year old body had just fought at a fast pace for 36 minutes. He got up from some massive shots and survived, so I cant fault it.Comment

Seriously?
How many other boxers today could move like that, throw that many shots with that much conviction against a cruiserweight? Must of been exhausting mentally & physically trying to keep that fat lump off him.
His stamina is right up there with Floyd, Mannys (of a year or two back) and Bradleys IMO
He is no spring chicken either.Comment
