Serious question. How is Martinez/Floyd the same as Martinez/Ward?

Well Martinez just did big business, regardless of how the a side or b-side was so realistically now is his best chance to press for the fight.
Canelo probably does bring more though.
Generally speaking though Floyd does big business with anyone, so there is only so much leverage anyone has on him which is the problem with the Manny fight, Floyd can march to his own drummer and has/can still do great and while Manny can still outdo everyone else he can't out do Floyd.
Still Floyd isn't a 154 pounder he just sometimes fights there against select opposition~Comment

Yes, yes you have. It's funny however that you would support him fighting ginger, (while claiming ginger doesn't deserve the fight), then call me a hypocrite.Comment

I've defended my position. Martinez cannot compete with Ward at 168, a weight he's never been.
But Floyd can compete with Martinez at 154, where's he's now a 2 time champ. Pretty simple.Comment

I am sure if he got an offer he couldn't refuse he might amend that last part however. I just don't think he has ever got such an offer if you catch my drift.Comment

Martinez/floyd is a great fight. floyd/Canelo is an event. WHy? Because every fight fan I know wants to see floyd/martinez while every mexican and half of the west coast wants to see the red head kid fight money.
The difference is simple. You just refuse to come to terms with the fact that professional boxing at its highest level is more investment banking then sport.Comment

So which is it? Just yesterday you posted that Martinez would beat the shyt out of Mayweather and that he was too big and too skilled for him.Comment

Floyd does get the concept of being a prize fighter, IF JCC Jr. wasn't with Top Rank I might agree with that but Floyd doesn't want Arum to make money off him either, which is real clear also.
