when did joe finally decide to fight them?

when they were in their 40s. Despite that, they stick knocked him down. Imagine what would have happened if they fought during their primes.

Even worse, his long time division started getting great fighters (super six), & what does joe do?

    retire to do coke.

Calzaghe will never get my respect.
Or maybe Hopkins hid at 160 almost his entire career to avoid Joe. Hell Hop didn't even stop at SMW he jumped right to light heavy to take to more limited Tarver. That's ducking a guy right there.

So think about your post then read mine about Hop. Sound the same don't they.

Bias is a funny thing to read.

Your bias is that blatant you don't even see how ****** it makes you seem.

You claim Joe hid at 168 for almost his whole career.

Hop spent most of his career at 160.

        You say Joe avoided Hop.

Hop jumped right passed the SMW limit directly to 175 avoiding Joe.

You say Joe retired when the super six was coming.

His last fight was at 175 at the end of 2008. The first super six fight was at 168 an entire year later in October 2009.

So you wanted the 37 year old Joe to weight drain himself to 168 to join the super six. Johnson tried that and besides walking through the limited Green he did nothing.

You are obviously mad Joe retired having beaten everyone he ever fought.

        Bias...

bias? i could care less about hopkins, roy, or calzaghe. im not the one that made this thread you did.

fact of the matter is joe could have come to america to make his name earlier, you know like ALL GREAT FIGHTERS. instead he waited until both roy & bernard were in their 40s & even then he still got his arse knocked the **** down.

& your excuse for joe for retiring is the time period of one year? lmfaaooooo its quite clear WHO HAS THE BIAS HERE. As if joe had trouble making 168 lmfaaooo.

who you trying to convince? yourself?

calslappy's respect? none. deal with it.

Lucky for Joe you're some unknown with a grudge on a boxing thread that I'm sure he'd piss himself laughing at your moronic posts.

He's probably chillin in his mansion with some fine girls and a mountain of coke.

You are so jealous, it's funny to me.

                  - lose to roy jones so drains himself to make 160 so he can avoid him for the rest of his career
                  - beating a skill less big welterweight who made his name overpowering smaller opponents in his 'biggest win'
                  - beats midget de la hoya at a catch weight (what a joke this guy is, camping out at such a low weight)
                  - loses to bum taylor twice
                  - moves up to fight tarver (one of only risks he made, to cash in)
                  - fights middleweight winky at 170 catchweight (winky fat as hell, head butts him to decision)
                  - fights smw calzaghe (makes another smaller guy move up) and loses
                  - fights middleweight champion pavlik at 170 catchweight (catchweight king hopkins?) pavlik also another guy who made his name overpowering smaller opponents not out boxing them
                  - fights old, shot roy jones (even after calzaghe fought him yet he gets no stick for it)
                  - waits until dawson loses to pascal who is a one dimensional fighter, cherry picks pascal
                  - gets forced into fighting dawson by wbc, chickens out of fight faking injury (like he tried vs joe calzaghe)
                  - loses rematch to dawson (obviously)
                  - ducks andre ward

your hero is the biggest con man in boxing, how can a guy who had a trilogy with robert allen be considered a great fighter?

catchweight king, cherry picker, ducker + coward = bernard hopkins
stopped right there. DRAINED himself? lol didn't he fight jones at 160. so he lost and drained himself back to 160? do you even know what drained is. if he drained himself like you said he would of went to 154. so somebody is DRAINING themselves when they could make 160 for more then a decade? LOL

Pavlik was not a big star in America and I would know because that's where I live and Im a big enough boxing fan to follow stories about some fighters especially the stars to boxing fans.

You want to see an American sports star? Look at Lebron. That's a big star in America. Pavlik was known only to fans like us not to the mainstream. So "countless articles" or not Joe didn't have to wait until the "biggest star in America" Pavlik to move up before he left 168.
pavlik was a bigger star than a completely shot roy jones. even a 24/7 couldn't save that terrible fight that no one wanted. but luckily joe redeemed himself by.............retiring!
