Does anyone remember the first fight of Bute vs Andrade, and how Bute was boxing the crap out of Andrade, until the last round? They wanted a rematch because Andrade, thought that what he did in the final round he could duplicate earlier instead of later. So guess what....

They did that rematch and Andradre, got knocked out in 4!!

Same thing will happen to Chavez, if he get his wish for a rematch! Nuff said!

        rematch is a no-brainer...

it will be sergio's biggest purse if the rematch do happen... business-wise and considering his age, its time for him to cash in... fighting a "bum", easy work, easy money for sergio...

but chavez jr now knows that he can hurt sergio real good if he put more pressure... plus the injuries that sergio had gotten after the 1st fight will also become crucial...

i don't know about you, but i'm all for this rematch...

Chavez was very hesitant and gun shy in the fight. If he opens up more often I think Martinez will just sit down on his punches and do more damage. Martinez looked gassed in the last round, but he was moving around a lot and he never took his foot off the gas in the middle rounds like he normally does.

That knock down is the worst thing that could've happened to Chavez JR, IMO. Trading with Martinez is not a good idea. Williams, Barker, and Macklin all got KTFO when they tried to trade with Martinez. Trading with him is a ****** thing to do and if a rematch does happen I expect an overconfident Chavez Jr. to get stopped.

not the same thing Andrade had a legit claim for a rematch because he was jobbed Bute needed to right that wrong.

Actually, Andrade was fairly competitive, making the fight ugly, and rough for Bute. He had several parts of the fight where he had Bute buzzed and was getting to him.

He also legitimately knocked Bute out in the last round as well, with the ref administering something like a 30 second count for Bute to get up, and then even after that, allowing Bute to hold himself up by the ropes.

It is really the same thing, boxing clinic, guy got gutsy at the end, knockdown at the end. I thought Andrade should've won but the ref ****ed up, but it didn't happen ...but Bute learned from that, and in the rematch he knew to take care of business sooner than later which he did. Same thing IMO.

Martinez didnt just get the round stolen but he was damn near out on his feet. So a rematch imo is fine. I think the first fight was boring watching Sergio run around flicking jabs and Chavez not punching. Junior now knows he can hurt him and hurt him bad so he will fight different.

Now Martinez also found that out so he might try catch Junior like how he caught P-Will or he might get on his bike and get stopped like Cotto/Marg 1.

One thing we know for sure is that Martinez cant let it go to the cards with Arum HOPING for a third fight so maybe he comes out and tries to take Juniors head off like he said would in the first fight. So for me fucc it why not?

I could see the POV that Martinez is picking on Junior for an easy payday. I could see it both ways.
out on his feet?!?!? ....it wasn't THAT bad man...dude was still throwing fire back at Jr....burning his big young ass...Serg showed ALL heart

No, one round doesn't require a rematch but money talks.
