He probably weight 167 Lbs 4 weeks before the fight then what you do is carb cycle. 4 days no carb followed by 24 hours of nothing but carbs. This will ****e your insulin levels like crazy giving you a natural steroid feel. Do that for 4-5 weeks straight and you will lose fat quickly, then he probably does not drink water a day before weigh-in. After weigh-in there is a window where you can pack an extreme amount of carbohydrates. Since your body is starving for carbs, it will absorb them quickly thus giving you that quick gain. The problem with doing this is that eventually too many carbs turn to sugar and sugar may give you a jolt but eventually your body will crash. Which is why chavez lacked stamina. It's a double edge sword. Yes you have the weigh advantage but your stamina goes to ****.
