Well, this fight finally proved what we all thought about Chavez Jr. He is okay, but not great. I don't think he is a bum like many have posted. If he truly is a bum then what does that say about Martinez? Can he not knockout a bum worse yet that would be saying he almost got knocked out by a bum. But at least we can close the book on Chavez not being the rightful champ and move on to bigger and better fights. How about Mayweather vs Martinez and Cotto Vs Canelo. Not crazy about Pacquiao Vs Marquez IV. It will be entertaining but it will end like the last 3. After that fight Marquez should change his name to "Almost".

Nope, fact is that Jr clearly lost 11 rounds and was totally outclassed by Martínez.

I think this is also a testament to how good Ariza really is.. Whatever it is he does with fighters, Ariza shakes or what but I thought Jr was gonna get stopped tonight and I think Khan might have at least went the distance with Garcia had he kept Ariza...

Great display of heart and sportman ship from both fighters.

Jr. gets props for not quitting. He was outworked, outboxed and embarrassed for 10-11 rounds. He took a beating like a man and waited for Sergio to slow down. Yes, I agree, if this was a 15 rounder, a Chavez would have gotten the KO.

Sergio deserves props for surviving the 12th on his feet. It seemed he started getting fatigued in the 11th. By the time Jr caught him, he couldn't run, even if he wanted to. He had no choice, but to fire back.

I would watch a rematch. However, the outcome would be similar. The difference will be: Jr. tries to gets busy early with more body shots, Sergio adjusts and runs for 10 rounds. Same ending, Sergio gets tired and Jr. beats the crap out of him for 2 rounds, but comes up short. A closer decision, but a UD none the less for Maravilla
