Maidana doesn't belong at 147. He should go back to 140 and fight Ricky Hatton.

Ricky's fighting at 147 too, he doesn't belong there either - at least not against genuine Welterweights.

It's difficult to say as we haven't seen Ricky fight lately but Maidana probably beats Hatton right now.

How many times has Karass ever been knocked down? Maidana should go back down to 140? please - he is doing everything right, did you guys see the triple jab in the first, he was swimming without getting wet out there. The biggest thing was his discipline, he did not deviate from the plan, he will be a player at the weight, he just needs a couple more fights - the key is he wants to learn. I thought it was a very good performance by maidana - no premature stoppage crap - Karass was very hurt and did not complain to the ref at all, this new version will give devon a run after a couple more fights of him adjusting to different types of fighters..

He did right when the ref stopped it. He pushed bayless once he had stopped it. I mean karass was getting back into the fight and was throwing back when they stopped it. But karass is not that good says alot of maidana at welterweight. I thought he was going to blast out karass.

I didn't see that. I saw him smile and then pretty much accept the decision. I think he could have fought on but it wasn't the worst stoppage ever.

Agree on Maidana, he needs to fight other guys who are pretending they are genuine welterweights like Guerrero, Broner and Hatton - not actual welterweights. He was actually forced onto the backfoot and we never see that from him.
