Comments Thread For: Hatton: I Would Love a Jump at Khan, Brook, Malignaggi!

Ricky Hatton will strive to earn the nation's pride again after seeing his life "turn to mush" in the three years since he last fought.

The Hyde fighter has suffered a series of well-publicised issues in his private life since his last fight saw him knocked out by Manny Pacquiao in their IBO light-welterweight title fight in Las Vegas.

And Hatton insists he did not want to see those demons tarnish his legacy in the sport, with another world title belt in his sights. [Click Here To Read More]

Ricky Hatton's boxing career ended on the canvas, flat on his back under the Rockstar logo.

I don't think that will ever change. Ricky is a fighter but he's definitely no athlete. With all the issues he's had since his last fight and the way he's treated his body, I don't see him ever competing against a decent boxer again.

I was just talking about Hatton-Brook, that's a good tune up fight for Hatton.

It clearly didn't since he has another pro fight on November 24th.

Brook is better than tune-up level. Honestly, Ricky needs to be careful with his comeback fight.

I think he's maybe assuming Ricky's going to have the same punch resistance. I seriously doubt he will. As I say, he needs to be careful in selecting his opponents until he knows where he's at.
