Brook could hardly escape against Jones, Hatton's quickness will get him close enough to do damage and smother Brook who can not fight on the inside.

So Malignaggi beats Hatton but not Khan? Khan does everything better than Malignaggi and has decent power. If anything out of them Malignaggi would be the easiest fight, his lack of power is perfect for Hattons style.

khan feels like the most lucrative fight out there, but cant say about his chances until after ive seen the return bout. but still, kind of hard to imagine him winning against any 140 lb champ.

Witter seems like the ideal tune-up - the public will buy it, and Witter's totally shopworn. Even still, Hatton's been out of the ring for 3.5 years, so maybe even Witter's too dangerous a fight.

Not sure where I see this comeback going - one tune-up then a showdown with Khan or Brook possibly? I reckon both would handle him quite comfortably. What network is his comeback going to be on, anyway?

That's not what he's after; the guy has just realized that - at the moment - he can't live his life without being fighter without f**king it up. So he's doing what he has to do. I admire the way he's gone about it, no mouth, no inflated claims and a public acceptance he doesn't even know himself what he will be capable of until he's been back in the ring. He doesn't need the money, knows he will never improve his 'legacy' (Mayweather and Pacquiao are forever out of reach to him, now), but it might be that knowing he gave it his best shot might be enough to settle him down into life as a promoter. Even if he loses the first 'big' comeback fight, it's better than miserably stuffing down beer, drugs and meat pies for the rest of his life wondering what might have been.

I gotta agree that if the BBBofC were to sanction it with the British title at stake, then Witter would be the perfect opponent. (Grudge, with a capital G)

Brook does throw some nice shots on the inside, especially his uppercut. He'd have to move well against Hatton and not allow him to cut off the ring, which is something Ricky does well.

Brook doesn't even have a strength & conditioning coach either, loads of room for improvement.

I'd avoid Brook if I were Hatton.

kilrain...... if witter is too dangerous for hatton at even this point, what is hatton doing? 3.5 years out and if he cant beat witter even now he shouldn't be doin what he's doin.

Brook ain't no tune up unless you're a certified P4P elite. I don't rate the guy but he got serious pop, that's the only thing that's elite about him, he had iron chin Lovemore N'Dou holding on for dear life. Hatton would get knocked out early.
