My only problem with this article is the cherry picking of weights for Andre Ward. He'll fight FMJ and Pac at 152...." But no catchweights for Ward. Ward has to come down to 160 cause Martinez is a blown up 154lb.... Martinez came in at 174 pounds on August 15th with Dr. Roger Anderson certified for his 30 day weight and was 167 pounds for his 7 day weight as posted on this site... Seems like he can make 168 just fine. Doesn't seem to blown up to me.
And fight the damn Aussie if you win. To hell with unify whoop his ass just cause... then drop the belts. You getting older Sergio you will never see Pac or FMJr money take what your non drawing ass can get.
Someone on his team should get him rosetta stone so he can learn english. If you can't speak english on a 24/7 type show or do interviews for american public then don't expect to many american fans. Ask cotto how much it helped his marketability after he learned english.Comment

It would only make sense at a CW really. This will never happen. Martinez should fight Geale, Golovkin, or Quillin/N'Jikam winner if he beats Chavez.Comment

Dawson moved down 7 pounds to fight Ward and make the fight happen. Will Ward go down 8lbs to make the Martinez fight happen? I doubt he would, and it wouldn't exactly make him tough, or a coward if he did or didn't do it. If he did it, it would be ******, like Dawson moving down. But to Dawson's credit, he genuinely just wanted to fight the best fighter possible around his weight class, which is Andre Ward, followed by himself, and then Bernard Hopkins who he already beat.
Ward-Martinez would be a very good matchup, and it would give Ward an opportunity to get the WBC/The Ring belts at 160, and quickly vacate the titles and go back to 168. The best thing to do here, was already ruled out by Martinez's people, which is a catchweight, right in the middle, like 164. And an agreement should be made, that both fighters will put their WBC/Ring titles on the line.Comment
