I tinks it's kind of da same but Ward dun started at 168 and da Martinez cat started at 147 pounds I tink. I thought dat both da Pac cat and da Pretty Boy had fought for 154 pound titles? What gives? Forget about itComment

not gonna happen, no reason for Ward to go to MW
he's running a pretty good SMW division right now
probably couldn't go to MW even if he wanted to
if anything, Ward will go up soon
not too much left for him to do at SMW
and Martinez better worry about Chavez
his shit talk makes him sound vulnerable, he's overconfidentComment

Someone mentioned Martinez/Mayweather but Martinez is made for Mayweather. The way Martinez keeps his hands low, Mayweather would time him with precision and Martinez would get nailed all night long. If Barker could land often, Mayweather would have a field day with his far superior speed and accuracy. Mayweather would have to get old overnight to lose.Last edited by richardt; 09-13-2012, 11:36 AM.Comment

Martinez self pwned here. Chavez Jr comes in at 180 and 181 his last two fights. Ward was 175 last fight.
If Martinez fought at 168 he wouldnt have to dehydrate at all. So fighting a 180 pound guy when you have to dehydrate or fighting a 175 pound guy without dehydrating..... which is easier? maybe because its not about the size but the skill levelComment

Money May would whoop that ass. Martinez has nothing to bother him. And best believe that after watching tape of Martinez struggle with Barker and Macklin that Mayweather will have a gameplan that works.Comment

Sergio will never turn down a fight at Middleweight? LOLSampson Lewkowicz, adviser to former two division world champion Sergio Martinez (49-2-2, 28KOs), is not ruling out a potential fight with WBA/WBC super middleweight king Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs) - if Ward moves down to 160-pounds. There is absolutely no chance of Martinez moving up in weight to fight Ward at 168, says Lewkowicz to BoxingScene.com.
