    name 1 undefeated champion ward fought?....you can't

ward best wins are kessler and bika two guy that got whooped by a 35yr old man

andre ward's a ***** calling out a 40yr old man that ain't whooped know 168 pound ass in 5 years
Andre Ward has never beaten a GREAT fighter though he has beaten Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler who are both top 5 SMW champs of all-time (for whatever that's worth).

Joe Clazaghe has not beaten any GREAT fighters while they were still great. Although his victory over a prime Kessler is a great win in the context of the SMW division.

Don't be fooled by undefeated records. It doesn't matter how many undefeated champions someone beats. It matters how many good fighters a someone beats.

Calzaghe is my favourite fighter but don't blindly follow.

andre ward lost his 7th fight to a bum called Darnell Boone

if eubank was not the best at smw in the 99s who was?....

So for those ranking Ward and Froch above Calzaghe, does Joe's longevity as champion, retiring undefeated make him any "greater" a fighter in the HOF history books than Ward or Froch?

Especially if you consider Ward equals, if not eclipses Calzaghe career resume at this early stage in his career already? Or does the longevity (which is viewed as dominance) keep Joe above the rest for now?

well the first 9 years of his championship "reign" was spent fighting bums or past it fighters. he only had a 2 year span where he fought legit competition. so no it makes him worse for avoiding and cherry picking, then retiring and trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes with a shiny undefeated swiss cheese resume.

It is a good win. Ward has already had more good wins than Calzaghe.

Also you can't have it both ways. Eubank and Jones weren't too old when Joe beat them, but Froch was too old when Ward beat him? Interesting logic.

You know what I don't like having a pop at Joe's record, but I don't like defending ******ity.
