LOL no THEY are bitter thats why THEy can't give Pacquiao credit. I like Andre Ward, and give him full credit, just calling these race driven fake boxing fans on their BS hypocrisy.

They weren't title fights because of the stipulations, champions in the past did that alot in non-title fights to get a 10 rounder in as part of the prep for a 15 round title fight! It was a great opportunity for a man to get a shot at a champ and if they did well their stock could rise dramaticly!!
Theres been "junior" classes in and out of boxing forever, I hate them! To many divisions just adds to the mediocrity in the sport already! I don't mind the Cruiser division but a 168lbs is BS your a 160 middle or a LtHvy 175 and you have 15lbs to play with. Being drained is a legitament reason for not being able to perform but its the fighters fault for signing the ageement!! Ray.
I agree with you. You really know boxing history.

The higher the weight the less % it is. But either way Cotto and Dawson lost.

according to *****s and pac haters dawson wasn't weight drained eventhough he went down 7 pounds and hadn't done so in 6 years, but cotto who went down 2 pounds (was 146 in his previous fight so you could argue just 1 pound) was a weight drained zombie...they'll never give pac credit that's just how it is.

According to HBO he was like 186 or something on fight night. Twas a pretty big cut for a boxer. But he chose it. Don't think it mattered because Ward figured him out before he could have gassed.

Pretty much what I'm saying. Two weeks ago when Cotto denied Pac a second fight, everybody made Cotto was a drained zombie thread. Dawson went down an entire weight class and it's evidently something totally different.
I guess since the word catch weight wasn't associated, it's not as bad.
When you look at it though...... a seven pound weight drop?
People think it's easy, but I'd like to see people try and lose those last few pounds. Only a small percentage of people here have ever had to do anything like that.

it's obvious dawson was weight drained that's why he didn't have any legs under him the whole fight and that's why he got TKO'd

it's not like ward is known for hurting people

Manny-Oscar and Ward-Dawson are like the exact same thing, a guy thought he could drop a class and be fine, they were obviously wrong especially when faced with high class opposition.

Manny-Cotto is much different, I think the weight had an effect but I would rate the lack of a proper trainer and his whole mindset as bigger factors. In combination though being ill prepared, his confidence still shaky and being a bit drained was a very damaging to his chances.
