    What's the difference

In Ward's win over Dawson and Pacquiao's catch weight fights?
Both fighter's wanted to go down in weight and Pacquiao has been labeled as a drainer.
I'm confused, because some of the same people who're saying weight had nothing to do with Ward's victory are the same ones who say Pacquiao only won certain fights because he drained people.
It was only like a week or two ago the boards were filled with Pacquiao and his draining tactics.

This wasn't a catchweight Dawson moved down a full division and suffered way worse than Cotto and Margarito did at catchweights.

I never thought Cotto was drained at all, I hate when people give that excuse. Pac beat a past prime-still good Cotto down.

De La Hoya was crap because Oscar was clearly done, but you can't knock Pac for it because that was the mega star fight. The Margarito CW for a title at 154 was a joke though, especially since Margarito hadn't won a good fight in over 2 years.

Dawson moves down 7 pounds = NOT DRAINED

Cotto moves down 1 pound = DRAINED ZOMBIE

It was like a week ago, after Cotto turned down Pacquiao, that everybody was making Cotto was drained threads.

it's either all ok with weight classes/weight drained/catchweights or it's all not ok. People bend whichever way they want. One guy is respected for doing it, one is shat on for it
