I'm talking about the fact Dawson got his azz kick, and weight was not the reason why it happen...Nobody in this thread even talks to the fact that Dawson was rocked before at a higher weight, and every time he was rocked..It was against a young fresh fighter who was fresh enough to land consistently to make a dent in that Chin of Dawson's...Pascal has always had bad stamina, had it been better he would have put Dawson's lights out..Adamek drop Dawson and rocked him a few times..Adamek is slow as dirt, but he was young and put his shot together...

Yes your making excuse about Dawson's lost..Which is what the Fuuck I'm talking bout...Is it a lil more clear what I'm talking about now??
if the Celtics play the Heat WITHOUT Rondo....big chance they'll lose...very big!!...with Rondo that chance becomes smaller...they still might lose but they might be in the game a lil' longer than without him...the Heat will still beat the Celtics atm...regardless!!...but Rondo's play can determine if its by 1 or 20....thats what the homie Bush is saying with the weight thing my dude...nothing he's saying comes across like a excuse imo...thats just me

Weight definitely played a part and don't try to deny this.

Rome-by-Ko says that weight makes no difference, that Dawson was getting rocked at 175. So... wait... If Dawson is getting rocked at his natural weight, what do you think you going down a weight class is going to do?

I give Ward very little credit for this win over Dawson. If he had stepped up to 175 and beaten the man at that weight, fair enough. But you cannot get credit for beating the best 175lber at 168 lbs, he [Ward] declined a 170lb catchweight.

Ward may've beaten Dawson at LHW but he never took the risk and doesn't deserve all the credit.

I get that bro..But as pros nobody is going to say well we did not have rondo..Different sport as well...Dawson wanted the fight and knew what he needed to do..We all knew(Dawson knew this as well) that the weight could be an issue that's on Dawson...For anybody to come now to talk about weight IMO sounds like an excuse tbh..

Chad made his bed & had to sleep in it. He was never great to begin with, but he couldn't take a shots. But being dropped by Adamek is not the same as being dropped by Ward, 3 times & quitting in a weight class he hadn't been at in years.

I never said that Dawson lost because he was weight drained. I said he got dominated so badly because he was drained. Big, big difference. Anyhow being as "It all sounds the same to you", there's really nothing more to discuss.
Do me a favor..Post the definition of excuse, then read ya post back...

4 respectable posters just ran through your bum logic bro.

The bold is all I'm saying. It did have an effect on Dawson. But why lie to yourself & even act like it wasn't there before the fight??

I knew Ward would win & I know Ward beats him at any weight. I take nothing away from Ward's win. Dawson bought the beating on himself.

Dawson was stopped because he was drained, at 175 he gets his ass kicked but he isn't hitting the canvas every time Ward punches him on the chin.
Why is everyone acting like it was glancing punches that drop our hurt Dawson?? Dawson was getting hit with solid flash shots...I'm not even a Ward fan, but damn he does not deserve this...

Saying weight played a part of this fight is taking away from Ward, weather you mean to or not...I respect you and other respectable poster who disagree with me...You guys are great and I love debating issues with yall...

I give Ward the credit he deserves, and that credit is "he beat a Dawson that was drained"

Would he have beat Dawson at 175? Probably. But the facts are he beat him at 168.

Watch this fight again,I really don't believe weight had a damn thing to do with this fight..I think Ward wore Dawson down by mauling Dawson..This was a great performance from Ward,it was not like every punch made Dawson wobble or effected him..Only when hit flush was Dawson really hurt, this is the reason I don't understand why people keep talking about weight..I think anybody getting hit with those kinda shots would get drop or hurt...

But I'll have to say Ward is a dirty azz fighter...Dude must have the B-Hop hand book of boxing...

Rome, why are you trying so hard to argue against the weight-draining comments?

                      It's not an excuse, it's a fact.

Even if Dawson made the weigh no problem and was absolutely fine at the weight, you still think Ward gets full credit?
