He's still the champ there and that division is mediocre.
Yeah whatever Dawson does, it's all on him. I still think Scully is not a good trainer. Hopefully he fights Ward in a rematch at 175.

go back to 175 and give gabriel campillo a shot at those titles he's got. pretty sad performance by him, but all he can do now is take some time to rest, get back to 175 and keep it moving.

Time for Dawson to hang up the gloves, He was utterly outclassed by Ward and he was given a gift against Hopkins, Not to mention he has lost in the past, His greatest wins were over a 50 year old Tarver who was way, way, way past prime.

I fear that Dawson might end up like Gerald McClellan if he continues to take the kind of abuse that he took tonight at the hands of Ward.

how many fights has dawson and scully had (as of recent)? i'm assuming only hopkins and ward. those two there are great fighters that imo you really can't judge his trainer off of. one thing i didn't like scully saying is he sits back and let's dawson be himself, like he doesn't want to guide him on fixing his flaws. not saying that's what he said, but i remember him saying that somewhere, that's just the impression he gave me.

Scully is not elite trainer but it doesn't matter anyway.Dawson changes traienrs so often I doubt they inprint anything on him anyway. He probably mostly trains himself.

His whole demenor is not that of a boxer.

didn't he beat adamek? he should rematch pascal if anything. and so what if he was outclassed. carl froch got schooled by the same man and basically did it with one hand, and look how froch came back after that fight (even if bute was a hypejob and all).
