With jabbers its more of a problem for Roy than Floyd because Floyd could jab back. Jones never relied on the jab. But, Jones's gift of speed could also knock someone senseless quick. This version of Floyd at 154 is just naturally too small for Jones. Jones would be too fast and too powerful for Floyd.
Roy would not get outjabbed buy Floyd, he has a 6 inch reach advantage on him.

the thing about you guys is, how can you say floyd has never fought anybody like a roy jones jr but then automatically say roy would kill him?

roy has never fought anybody like a floyd mayweather jr either---toney and hopkins are nowhere near the fighter of floyd mayweather jr....toney's defense is similar in the shoulder roll area, but his footwork and balance is nowhere near floyd and neither is hopkins---

i've always said floyd would beat roy at 154 in terms of skill because of floyd's boxing mind and roy's boxing mind is nowhere near floyd's---we're talking about a guy much bigger than floyd also--that plays a role of course but p4p skillwise, roy loses to floyd no matter who likes it...
Have you ever actually watch James Toney? James Toney is a bad man. James Toney was a p4p great when Roy shut him out... Honestly, Floyd has never even fought a fighter of the caliber of James Toney.

Floyd couldn't even shut out an old Oscar at 154.

Also take into consideration that Roy had the reflexes to get out of the way of Floyds right hand leads.

Prime 2007 Floyd can't even beat Baby Roy[154 Roy]. So imagine, no one else stands a chance.

Again, Im not talking about his skill. He shouldve been the gold medal winner. He's one of the best ever and was great even at that point. Still, the point is he was fighting at the fairgrounds. It doesnt matter the reason. You want him to fight guys he's knocking out in 2 round with 12 losses and then go to the MGM and fight the #1 P4P fighter in the World in a massive PPV for 12 rounds. Its a night & day experince.

Roy Jones 17-0 Vs Floyd Mayweather 43-0.
