  • This is a huge mismatch. Floyd shouldn't be fighting at 154lbs and doesn't look good there. Roy Jones Jr. IMO beats anyone in his prime from 154-175lbs with relative ease. Roy wasn't the most skilled or highly intelligent boxer but his athleticism was out of this world. I think Roy hits harder than a lot of p4p punchers... I mean he snapped Virgil Hills ribs off 1 shot. That shot makes me cringe every single time I see it. It's one of the most brutal KO's I've ever seen! Roy's handspeed was ridiculous for a fighter his size which is why most fighters had no answer for him. I think p4p prime for prime that Floyd is a better fighter overall but for the weights Roy campaigned at he's a more dominant fighter. It's too bad Roy took an IBF banned over the counter substance and there wasn't the testing like we have today. I'd honestly like to know if Roy was "god gifted" or not but we'll never know. Most people won't care since they don't think Pac should prove he's clean. I'm just glad that 1 fighter who claims he's the best took a legit random olympic style test and passed.

I think its just a bit of fun. A true fantasy matchup. Brilliant defense, vs brilliant offence.
Plus floyd has so many haters because he has always acted like a twat.

      • Roy all the way. Think the first 4 rounds of the zab- floyd fight and that would be the entire fight with toy. But I do remember montel griffin outfoxing Roy in spots, using roys unorthodox style to exploit lack of fundamentals. Maybe floyd could do it against Roy...

        • roy handled the shoulder roll of james toney with ease. toney is not as quick as Floyd but still a great fighter. roy has been asked how to beat Floyd and said something like it's not his place to say. hinting that he knows exactly how to beat that style. which I believe it would. 154 is a mismatch but even p4p I think roy would have beaten him.

          • Roy Jones may have been better at 154 than even the 135 lb Mayweather. Roy Jones UD, all day.
