Because all those names are looking for the easiest money with the least effort. Maybe Martinez, Golovkin, and Geale agree to do it. Maybe.

i dont think one punch in the last minute of a fight warrants a rematch when Sergio dominated every round.

But it did get me leaping out of my seat.

Only reason for the rematch is a big payday for Sergio and the human punching bag. Chavez should move up before he gets permanently injured.

What I don't get is why Chavez would even want a rematch? He must know he got his ass kicked and that Sergio will just play it safer next time while still taking him to school. I have zero interest in a rematch. Chavez needs to go back to fighting his way up the ladder but not pretending he is some beast.

It was an amazing fight. I thought both fighters came out with credit, which is the ultimate result. Martinez showed amazing skill, movement and tactics, Chavez showed he had the raw power and strength to hurt Martinez. I could watch another instalment.

Respect goes to Chavez junior for taking the Martinez fight

But how can people say this is worthy of a rematch? Chavez was embarrassed for 11 straight rounds.

He made a great comeback in the last round but I think that was down to Sergio getting emotional and losing his composure - he had already conquered Chavez' style

            A rematch is pointless

Had there been 20 more seconds in the fight, it is likely that Chavez Jr. would have stopped Sergio... A rematch would tell us the story of whether or not it's going to be the 13th round... and that's what fans wanna see.

Martinez absolutely schooled chavez, however, he did teach him a lesson to let his hands go early. Kind of reminds me of when Margarito lost to paul williams and then he said he is gonna start letting his hands go earlier.

Chavez can win the rematch. He threw like 5 punches a round until the last two rounds.

I think a lot of that knockdown had to do with martinez being exhausted after 11 rounds. If you watch martinez' face in the corner before round 12, he looked the most fatigued I've ever seen him. And I believe he threw 108 punches or something like that in round 11, that took a lot out of him, plus all the constant movement.

If they rematch it's not like chavez can just suddenly catch him and knock him out. Chavez caught him numerous times throughout the fight that didn't phase martinez. Only in the 12th when martinez was damn near out of steam.

ya but chavez threw like 10 punches a round until the last two. Chavez has to let his hands go.

He said he couldn't. He said he felt weak and drained. This is probably because he needs to be fighting at SMW, LHW. We know he gets completely destroyed when fighting guys that are actually his size. He will continue to fight at MW until he gets to that age where he can no longer cut that much weight so he can have size advantage.

Can anyone imagine what the SMW's would do to this fraud? The martinez beating wouldn't be nothing. I mean just think what Ward, Froch, Kessler, AA would do to this poor kid?

Like I said Martinez showed everyone why Bob Arum didn't want to make this fight.
