It would be wise to move their date back to Nov 10th and not Dec 1st. Pac doesn't want to go head to head with Cotto especially if it's Cotto vs Canelo. All the Mexicans will Pay to watch Canelo fight Cotto. Canelo is carrying Mexico on his back. Marquez vs Pac will not out sell Canelo vs Cotto trust me.

I believe that the real reason why Team Pacquiao is reconsidering that Dec 1 date is because Manny doesn't want to have to challenge another Junior middleweight in Miguel Cotto; Even if it's at a catch weight of a 150 Lbs. This potential match up was all Bob Arum's doing in the first place. Manny wants Bradley if it could be made or perhaps settle for a 4th bout with JMM.

Koncz says is a TV issue so this most likely means that Cotto stood his ground and to the surprise of Arum got the support of HBO. HBO were the ones that told them to move the date back since Cotto had already book it.

Yes I understand Cotto had already reserved that date; However even as of today, he is still without an opponent for Dec 1. So far his opponent has yet been determined. I don't think that Top Rank was using it as a means to go head to head against a Cotto event but just to match Manny Pacquiao against him as a potential opponent; Since he is a much bigger draw than either Bradley or Marquez, for that tentatively scheduled Nov 10 event. Additionally, I believe that if it was left up to Cotto, he would be more than happy to oblige Pacquiao and even fighting him at a catch weight, in exchange for a much larger payday. He'll probably make at least a third of that amount of money fighting Saul Alvarez as opposed to fighting Manny Pacquiao. It's just my opinion.

Yeah. Arum probably released the 12/1 story to the media to scare Marquez into thinking they were moving forward with the Cotto fight. Try and get him to take less money.

That is debatable considering against Pacquiao he would get 35% of the PPV buys (Would probably do from 1.2 million to 1.4 buys) and a guranteed of 10 million. Against Canelo Cotto would get 65% of the PPV buys (would do from 700K to 1 million buys) and a guranteed of 6-8 million dollars.

If you take all that in to consideration the difference would not be that big and Cotto woud get everything against Canelo from size of the ring to fighting at home in MSG. Also even if Cotto doesnt fight Canelo and fights Bundrage or Bradley the Pacquiao fight will always be there since outside of Mayweather, Cotto brings the most money for Pacquiao.

Cotto will fight Bundrage, I'm willing to bet on that.
