He needs to just retire. There is no one left for him to fight other than Floyd. That fight i dont see happening anytime soon. Floyd WILL take a tune up fight before he sets up another mega event (he be ****** not to). Bradley was exposed (except by the small minority that thinks he won; most are Many haters btw...just saying...its the truth kids), JMM, while creates great drama and excitement, people might not have the patience anymore to deal with the "waiting game" with these 2 ego maniac idiots names Floyd and Manny. Floyd is being stubborn with the purse split (fan boy nut huggers dispute any form of logic here), and Manny is letting Arum call the shots as if hes the one thats fighting. End of the day, Manny is a HOF and will go down as a legend (except by a select few idiots who have an extreme allegiance to Floyd), and Floyd will go down as a HOF, and legendary status (except by the ones that have extreme allegiance to Manny). Im happy with both these guys career, and calling it a day for both makes the most sense, due to them getting older...and yes...both guys are slowing down, and a convincing loss for both is brewing shortly should they both continue much more than a fight or two. This is just how it is people.

Manny Pacquiao needs to retire. Forget about Mayweather. Let him become the biggest duck of this century and become the laughing stock of the world for being the only guy who didn't have balls to fight the Pacman. I for one am more excited looking forward to that. I want him to get booed wherever he goes. That's more interesting to see than the fight at this point.

HBO probably stood by Cotto and Cotto most likely wasn't intimidated by Bob and Pac. It's just ridiculous how Arum and Pacquiao conduct their dealings through the media and how to deal with other people in the business. Bob Arum runs his business like a law firm in the sport of boxing. He uses every trick in the book to get what he wants. Maybe 3 years ago Pac would have goon'd Cotto out of his spot but time is running out for Manny Pacquiao being on top and he has Bob Arum to thank for that and of course his own dumb ass.

I think Cotto already has a date for December 1st at MSG though. Not entirely sure this all lies with Cotto not agreeing to a catchweight / drug test or even officially being approached about the fight.

Last I heard Cotto / GBP was Dec 1st PPV date which is probably why they're just sticking to Nov 10th.

Good Cotto already had this spot and easily sells out MSG. HBO knows this and so does Arum. Cotto Canelo Dec.1st make it happen.

Yeah but Lawyers are only good for Law not boxing. In my opinion I honestly think Bob Arum lost his boxing spirit a long time ago and just sticks to cashing in. Lawyers are liars and sneaky. Not all but most and Bob Arum falls into that category. He has been twisting, dictating and manipulating the sport for years while the fans are the ones suffering due to lack of the fights we want to see. Bob Arum holds a grudge like no other I've ever seen with exception to the lil Asian kid in the movies.

I remember a year ago when Koncz, Pac, and fight were mentioned in the title the thread will be filled with Pac fans screaming hes the best. Where did they all go? How the mighty have fallen and a quick drop at that.

It should be quite clear to all, including you, that Arum does not "call the shots" with MannyP. He's completely his own boss other than having a promotional contract with Top Rank who work hard for their money.

As for the praise Cotto is getting from the sub-normals here, ( who are really venting their irrational hatred on Arum) for not fighting Pacquiao, good luck to him-and them-, he just turned down probably 10 or more millions, and won't get anything close to the Pacquiao fight purse with anyone else.
