Why do so many Mexicans hate on Chavez Jr?

Well I am not Mexican but let me see if I can answer this for you...
1. Because he rides his daddys coat-tails, his dad was a REAL champion...no one would give 2 ****s about him if his dad was not JCC.
2. Because he fought nameless total bums for the first 42-43 fights of his career, which is utterly ridiculous.
3. Because he fights at MW and he is basically a LHW and he comes in the ring weighing 20lbs more than his opponents (which is to get an advantage because he sucks)
4. Because all he has is 1 punch, a left hook to the body (of course).
5. Because everyone is 99% sure he is on steroids and he is shady as ****.
6. Oh and lastly because he ****ing SUCKS lol.

And in México Canelo is the most hated mexican boxer thanks to Televisa and GBP protecting him like Povetkin is protected by the Russians.

They called him here Canelo Alvarez "El Mataviejitos" "The Grandpakiller"

And it's weird, but it seems the Mexicans in the States love Canelo, but in México if they ever fought Chavez will have like 62 percent to 38 of Canelo in support by the Mexicans here.

The only place Canelo could have more support than Chavez Jr, is in Guadalajara his hometown.

That's not true. My family lives in el DF and I watch Mexican tv and sports news all the time and Canelo is much more popular than Jr. Every interview I have seen when they ask that question of people on the street or other boxers, Canelo is respected much more.

1. He never asked to be named or born Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The kid has been unfairly criticized when it comes to that.
2. I wouldn't say total bums, he did fight mid level fighters who were about the same skill level as him so I don't see what your point is. He also fought Carlos Molina which some thought he lost but it's not like he was this great fighter who was fed bums.
3. I can't argue this point but he comes in weight and that's to his advantage. It should be a disadvantage when you think about it because he should be drained and weakened but it never seems to be that way.
4. No he has good hooks and upper cuts inside. He can't fight great from the outside I will agree on that.
5. Nobody is "99%" sure he's on steroids, they are just assuming that like they do with Pac with no evidence. One thing is to believe it, another thing is for it to be true.
6. This is really the truth, you hate him so you are biased in your opinion. It's how children think instead of having an adult opinion based on facts.

I think Chavez is going to be beat but I think it's going to be a much better fight than people think. I think he's improved a lot in the last 2 years and deserves respect for it. Plus the kid isn't scared, has a great chin and at least has heart and acts like a fighter in the ring.

I bet you watch Televisa, I'm from DF, and trust me in his fight vs Cintron at La Plaza de Toros here in DF, only 3,800 people showed up, they even gave the tickets 2x1, like 4 days before the fight.

Maybe because Cintron wasn't a huge name and Jr does carry his fathers name. I personally don't care but I do think that Canelo is more respected among boxers in Mexico though.

I know JMM doesn't like him much because I saw that debate show they had on but he was more critical of Suleiman than Canelo to be honest and we know how corrupt that ***er is.
