Cotto - I dont wanna say he lacks heart but he often fades big time in the last 3 rounds. Cotto, Clottey, Mayweather, Margarito... all of his biggest and toughest fights he hasnt shown up in the championship rounds. I dont know if its an endurance problem or if he coasts but it has made a big difference in his career.

Floyd Mayweather - It is hard to make money betting on him because he is always the overwhelming favorite, he is just too good.

I don't think he could have, there was too much doubt surrounding that fight. He should have retired after Ruiz when everyone still believed that no one below heavyweight could even compete with him; or he should have taken the Holyfield megafight, gotten knocked out and collected the millions.

Never confirmed it but J-Ro told me once that Oscar dabbled with wbc rankings to get out of fighting Sergio and instead fight Mayorga. I trust J-ro so I believe it. Beyond that he didnt really have proper representation until what 07. Whenever Dibella got him. He's capitalized on every opportunity given him and such a late date in his fighting prime.

Good thread....... here are my comments on my favourite fighters careers....

Marco Antonio Barrera is my favourite fighter of all time and is a legend..... but i feel he could have achieved more as a boxer. Apart from his wins against Morales and Naseem Hamed, I think to myself what other stand out victories does he have on his resume.....Kennedy McKinney....who else? Dare i say it but out of Barrera, Morales, Marquez and Pacquiao, Barrera might be at number 4 when ranking these fighters based on there resume.

Floyd Mayweather I believe didnt want any part of Pacquiao in 2009/20010 when he beat Dela Hoya, Hatton and Cotto

Pacquiao let's Bob Arum dictate who he should fight

Cotto fades badly in the championship rounds

Mayweather is on his way out. He wants the Pacquiao fight...Maybe a fight with Alvarez if he gets the fight with/beats Cotto and retires from there. Unless he wants to get risque and fight Martinez? If you listen to how he was talking after the Cotto fight...Doesn't sound like he wants another 5 fights.

Tyson: Shouldn't have gotten rid of the team that was with you when Cus was around, they probably could have saved you some trouble. Should have retired after the 2nd Holyfield fight, regardless of how it ended.

Morales: Stop not making weight or looking sloppy, you have the skills still. Also, fight Marquez.

De la Hoya: Shouldn't have coasted against Trinidad. Didn't have to get rid of Alcazar.
