Dawson has made the claim that he's a natural 168lber, and he specifically said in the B-Hop post-fight interview that he was willing to fight Ward at any weight.

Regardless if it's true, Dawson is still in a win-win situation. Doesn't make me think any less of Ward.

im not surprised ward wanted it at 168. he doesnt have to go up, but he could have gone to 175, took the title and went back to 168. and im not surprised it had to be in oakland. ward doesnt do away fights.
If he challenged Ward at 175 this fight wouldn't had happened. As you can see, he didn't even wanna do 170. That's ridiculous and a poosy move if you ask me. Props goes to Dawson for sacrificing himself to test himself and give fans what they wanna see.

They assumed he wanted 168 cause he volunteered for it but like I said he said 168 most likely just to get Ward's attention and get the negotiations going. Whoever believed that Dawson ACTUALLY wanted 168 is an idiot.

This thread is just gonna be filled of "Dawson asked for 168" nonsense.

Maybe not you but to most of us it does.

NO! We must fight in my home city!

NO! No CW even though it makes it more fair to you, my weight only!

"SOG" is really acting like a punk.

Two pounds ain't gonna make a difference, Bad Chad. You're getting outclassed by Ward come fight night either way.

If he was a natural 168lber he would be fighting at 168 not LHW. It's not like the guy can't make the 175 limit and coming in at 170 or some ****.

Ward should have fought him at a CW if it was on the table. But if he really wanted to get credit, he should have seeked out Dawson at 175 lbs.
