Ward is a good fighter, uses every trick in the book and loves to have his hometown juges + hometown ref letting him do his sometimes dirty tricks. Now he had the chance to prove he can fight a top guy at LHW and he made him come down to SMW? Also made him come to his hometurf?
Of course Dawson said he could make 168, because Chad is a champ and tries to make the best fights, if Ward was a champ himself he would have moved up to 175, at least to 170-172.
Ward cannot be considered a p4p fighter in my book, he just fights at one weight class and wont even budge for 2 lbs, with all the advantages he got in Oakland? Thats pityful. Lost alot of respect.
