Adamek was undefeated & more importantly for me was how well Adamek bounced back from the defeat.
Id say Froch bounced back pretty well... just saying.

I was on the fence until reading this post but I agree with Dan on this.

Very true. Its a close one no doubt but I'm leaning towards Dawson.

          No it ain't.

          Adamek notable wins.

          Banks
          Cunningham
          Arreola
          Golota
          Grant
          Chambers

          Froch notable wins.

          Pascal
          Taylor
          Dirrell
          Abraham
          Johnson
          Bute

Not that close at all really. Apart from Dirrell, the others guys Froch beat were former world champs.

Banks and Cunningham are the only real stand out wins for Adamek in truth. I put the other HW's in there some are fairy high ranked Hw's, but they're just contenders in truth who haven't made the break though.

Ward is the man, but Dawson's victory over Adamek is admittedly more impressive.

The fact that he was successful while moving up in weight and even managed to beat some decent heavyweights doesn't matter? Could Froch do that?

Dawson was the underdog because adamek was better known and because he had faught bigger names, not because dawson`s skill set was considered inferior

Ward was considderd the favorit in the froch fight because the have both fought in the same turnement and faced similar opposition

                Huge difference

If froch had faught abraham,Bute and pascal and ward kessler, green ward would have been considered the underdog
If adamek and dawson had have faced the same apponents over a short period of time Dawson would have been considered the favorit going into the fight

After the dawson fight up until Cunningham, adamek faced E level bum fighters with almost no wins in there resume.

In froch first fight after the ward he faced a heavy handed 29-0 unbeaten champion and slaughtered him in under 5 rounds

Ward over froch and its not even close

Adamek had beaten Paul Briggs twice & Ulrich who at the time was useful fighters, maybe not world class but certainly far from 'E level bum fighters'
Froch bounced back very well & caused another minor upset over Bute after.
Adamek on the other hand bounced back tremendously and upset several former titlists, went upto cruiserweight to take a big, bad Steve Cunnginghams IBF title from him in his own hometown, destroyed an undefeated Banks on foreign ground went upto heavyweight and beat the huge & always dangerous Michael Grant, Chris Arreola & the likes. In fact his only loss since is to a monster in Vitali K

Both great wins but for me Dawsons win over Adamek is slightly better.

I stated after the Dawson loss not his wins before and briggs was extremly overrated as history have shown
look at his record and read the records of his apponents in the first six fights after dawson, bums

You say that his wins at heavyweight makes dawson`s win over him better ,but infact its on the contrary
Adamek was drained at Lightheavy and was always better suited fighting at the higer weight classes.

i dont think you can say either one is clearly better than the other bcuz both were tremendous wins. i have to go with dawson beating adamek though, adamek is a better fighter than froch imo and dawson won bigger and looked better than ward.

the whole weight drained thing is just an excuse, adamek fought his whole career at 175 and it wasnt an issue until he lost. in fact his three best wins were his three most recent fights. he had no reason to fight chad if the weight was a problem going in either, dawson had no name and if he was moving up regardless he wasnt keeping the title anyways. why fight chad if he was struggling?

chad just put on a masterpiece against adamek, it was one of the best displays of boxing in the last 20 years and im not excagerating. its right up there with hopkins-trinidad, mayweather-corrales, whitaker-chavez etc. ward boxed very well against froch but not up to that level.

froch might have more good wins than adamek, hell he has more good wins than almost everyone in the sport. but the best wins on adameks resume beat the best wins on frochs, that along with aforementionsed dominance on the night makes me have to go with dawson.

                      I picked Ward over Froch.

Because I'm a biased, Northern California resident.

                      P.S.

Adamek has fought in the Prudential Center, with a HUGE Polish contingent, in 8 fights. Got a 119-110 score against Chambers, lmao.

He also fought V.K. in Poland.

So until a blatant robbery is given to Ward while fighting in Oakland, I really don't want to hear that lame ass excuse.
