IIRC people were saying adamek was weight drained for the dawson fight is their any truth to that?

Dawson was the underdog, Ward was expected to handily beat Froch & was quite a heavy betting favourite.
Adamek was undefeated & more importantly for me was how well Adamek bounced back from the defeat.
