How many immigrants have their kids in the US and their kids call themselves American? They are chinesse, italian, mexicans, etc... by blood but they consider themselves American. They act like Americans. They dont embrace their culture as much as the one raised in their home land. Like Danny, there are a lot of other boricuas by blood in the states, and because they go out with the flag during the parade or carry one in their car dont mean they know PR or the culture as much as the kids that are raised here. A lot of dominicans settle here and have kids and a lot of them feel ricans (not a lot of difference between us culturally). I've met Caucasians living in PR from different part of the world and they call themselves rican. They feel part of the island, part of PR.

There is no such thing a pure puertorican. If you been here you see white, blacks, mestizo, red heads, european etc... It is the love for the island and its culture what makes us boricua. But some idiots of the idiots on this site, (no disrespect towards you) want to put a tag and a definition to their bias and ****** opinions. If Dulorme feels he loves PR like he says so, he is boricua.

For all I know Garcia represents the statehood wanting **** that want to extinguish the rican nationality, while Dulorme represents the fighting puerto rican carrying one lone star flag up the ring, even though he isnt originally from here.

Dominicans are taking over this island anyway, and I dont care, hell Puerto Rico's "father of independence" was half dominican and arguably The Greater Antilles is just one big country separated by choice.

No such thing as a puerto rican by blood, but by choice.

A lot of truth in this comment. I'm glad the last three pages didn't turn into more of the typical back-and-forth "Mexico vs. P.R." bull**** lol

This is just silly, fact is this:
                1) Dulorme considers himself PR
                2) PRs consider him PR.

At the end of the day that's all that matters. That isn't for outsiders of PR culture to determine. Anyways, the fight I would love to see in the future is Broner vs. Dulorme. I think TD has all the tools necessary to beat him someday. Though I have the feeling that they might never be in the same weight class at the same time.

so let me get this straight

Dulorme is now the #1 contender in the WBC @ WW? So what the hell do they have an Interim Champ for(GHOST)? Wouldnt he technically be the #1 contender since he isnt the full Champ? Also, i thought the 'BC got rid of the iterim title and was now using the "silver champ"....this sh.it is getting out of hand...

I like Dulorme a lot. He's exciting, can crack and does his thing in the ring. I'd like to see him step up his comp though because right now, i dont think he's ready for the big dogs @ WW. But he's mos def getting there.......cant wait to see him on HBO

I'm from St Croix, my fathers family are from Puerto Rico. Yes I've been there. But I'm not dis*****g anything concerning Dulorme. What my dislikes are are that there were Puerto Ricans in this tread dissing Garcia to support Dulorme. There's no need for that.

That was my 1 & only point. I wasn't disregarding Dulorme or what he feels he is. 1 even said that it was because of Maniac he did that. I don't see how someone can allow a biased poster to make them diss a fighter that has done nothing to them.

If I understand correctly, there's an interim belt AND a silver belt. The silver belt is below the World title, and since the interim belt is supposed to guarantee the holder a title shot, it's also above the silver belt. I'm not sure if the number one contender has the advantage over the interim titlist, can anybody explain all this foolishness? lol
