How many immigrants have their kids in the US and their kids call themselves American? They are chinesse, italian, mexicans, etc... by blood but they consider themselves American. They act like Americans. They dont embrace their culture as much as the one raised in their home land. Like Danny, there are a lot of other boricuas by blood in the states, and because they go out with the flag during the parade or carry one in their car dont mean they know PR or the culture as much as the kids that are raised here. A lot of dominicans settle here and have kids and a lot of them feel ricans (not a lot of difference between us culturally). I've met Caucasians living in PR from different part of the world and they call themselves rican. They feel part of the island, part of PR.
There is no such thing a pure puertorican. If you been here you see white, blacks, mestizo, red heads, european etc... It is the love for the island and its culture what makes us boricua. But some idiots of the idiots on this site, (no disrespect towards you) want to put a tag and a definition to their bias and ****** opinions. If Dulorme feels he loves PR like he says so, he is boricua.
