BoxingScene.com hs been advised that Puerto Rican contender Dulorme Thomas (15-0, 12 KOs) will receive the top welterweight ranking under the World Boxing Council (WBC). In the month of July, Dulorme was ranked in the third position, but the organization advised the fighter's co-promoter that Dulorme was going to receive the number one position in the new August rankings.

Im actually quite shocked LOL.Dulorme was ranked pretty high on other organizations to begin with but never #1 which is news.He'll be on hbo in the fall and I expect him to fight better opposition after, provide he beats hernández.

Dulorme vs The Ghost? The fight makes no sense for The Ghost... Weird move and will be interesting to see what comes out of it but it is the WBC after all.
