In no way should he fight Alexander..dude is not entertaining, a quitter, and a C+ fighter at best. He should fight Robert, Berto, or Martinez.

But who would pay to see Floyd vs Devon?

pacquiao is a junior welterweight fighting at welterweight. forget what division they are in, they are more or less the same height, and have more or less similar weights on fight nights. marquez was 145 fight night against katsidis and that was a lightweight fight.

lol at you talking common sense.

and lol. does lopez weigh the same as canelo on a fight night. didnt think so.

I'm not a fan of Alexander, but I feel the need to defend him for some reason lol. He's fought solid opposition all the way through, does get some gift decisions, but he's one of the few fighters who've set a high standard for themselves in terms of their level of opposition. His clinching can get out of hand, but I would rate Devon higher than I would Berto skill-wise. Berto has spent an entire year sitting on the side-lines, how is he deserving of a shot? I would rather see Alexander get the shot way before Berto. Berto/Floyd would be a more entertaining fight, but based on principle, he shouldn't be in the running when other guys are making moves and his career is stagnant.

        In order of legacy/significance:
        Martinez(160lb)
        Pac
        Martinez(154lb)
        Alexander
        Guerrero
        Canelo

        In terms of $$$:
        Pac
        Canelo
        Martinez
        Alexander
        Guerrero

In terms of who deserves it:
        Pac
        Martinez
        Guerrero
        Alexander
        Canelo

If you think he should take a "tune-up like" fight, who???

he'll probably get boned hard by ellerbe till then.

So I should forget about weight classes because you say so?? The indisputable fact is that Pacman & Marquez were separated by 2 entire weight classes. Fight night weight doesn't mean a damn thing. People that have gotten so use to defending Pacman seem to have forgotten that weight classes are in place for a reason.

its not about defending pacquiao. defending him from what?!

pac and marquez are almost the same size and thats all there is to it.

Marquez climbed 2 weight classes to fight him. Indisputable fact.
