I think not going pro right now is the right thing for Joshua. He's still fairly new to the sport, and more experience at amateur would benefit him as he's still a little raw.

Even if he defended his Gold in Rio he would then be 26, which is the same age David Price turned pro. Lennox was 24/25 i think?

If he improves at a steady pace, and the offers come in from promoters, its probably more than likely he will turn pro before Rio, maybe after the next Amatuer tournament.

Amateur British funding is no joke.

British fighters really should dominate the next Olympic tournament, imo.

          I refute that.

I saw Kenny Anderson knock out a fellow from Papua New Guinea in 10 seconds at the commonwealths.

There maybe more qualifying standards now though, that was a fair while ago in the Manc games I think.

            Calm down.

            Funding doesn't equal talent.

We won't dominate, I expect a similar showing though. At least 1 gold and 4 other medals, that's just the men. Savannah Marshall will pick up another gold for the ladies.

              Dumb if he does.
He'll be missing out on time and money as a pro and no way he wins the Gold Medal again

Victory my ass...he lost, Cammarelle should be wearing gold. He lost to Savon and then to Cammarelle. It is really ****ty to do that to olympic boxers, to take away their dreams and medals over home cooking bull****. Makes me sick. Stay in the amateurs Joshua so you don't get knocked out in the pros lol.
