when did europe and cuba rule the division? this is the most important aspect of the argument.
we are going in circles here.
america ruled the division when our best HW athletes boxed. fact, not opinion.
they dont box anymore. fact, not opinion.
and now we dont rule the division.
the best HW athletes from america are playing football and basketball
until recently, they were not.
these are all facts. they aren't opinions.
your refusal to recognize them is not something on which i cannot waste any more time.
You are right about one thing which is we do seem to have a miscommunication about the central point of the argument and strangely you still seem unaware of its true nature. Let me illuminate you.............

If you think i would go through that effort for you you're mistaken but i did address something similar in a past thread and the stats are somewhat applicable.
Olympic Boxing Medal Count 1952-2008
USA Total – 62
USSR (1952-1988), Unified team (1992), FSU (1996-2008 i only included four FSU countries Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan) Total - 91
Poland had a successful Boxing history during the Soviet era and if you include their totals to the above totals the count is 128.
Olympic Boxing Medal Count 1996-2008
Russia - 20
Kazakhstan - 13
USA - 13
Ukraine - 9
Belarus - 2
USA - 13 (population 311 Million)
Above 4 FSU Nations - 44 (population 214 Million)
Val Barker Trophy Winners during this period
1996 - Vassiliy Jirov (Kazakhstan)
2000 - Oleg Saitov (Russia)
2004 - Bakhtiyar Artayev (Kazakhstan)
2008 - Vasyl Lomachenko (Ukraine)
That's from a prior thread. Including these Olympics since we have reached the medal round for post FSU 1996-2012 stats
Russia - 24 - (4 these games)
Kazakhstan - 16 - (3)
Ukraine - 14 - (5)
USA - 13 - (0)
I THINK YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT ABOUT THE NFL AND NBA IM NOT SAYING THAT OTHER COUNTIERS DONT HAVE GREAT FIGHTERS WHAT IM SAYING IS THAT MORE AND MORE YOUNG AMERICANS WANT TO PLAY BASKETBALL AND FOOTBALL THEN WANT BE COME A BOXER. AT ONE POINT BOXING WAS IN THE BIG THREE IN SPORTS OVER HERE NO IT NOT TOP 15 MORE PEOPLE KNOW WHO DALE EARHART JR IS THEN THE BEST HW RIGHT.Comment

Times are changing. The rest of the world has caught up to the USA. Why not be good sports and admit it?

The Americans’ 48 gold medals and 108 total medals are easily the most in Olympic boxing history, with 45 more medals than second-place Cuba.

Why didn't you guys write in all capital letters earlier!!! I understand everything you're saying now i just couldn't read the words before. If the rest of you guys were equally good problem solvers as FUC U PAYME we could have avoided all this debate!!!!Comment

naaaaa its simply that the world in more open now and the American dominance of the early years was more to do with the popularity of the sport in a country with a large population !
if in some way your trying to imply blacks are naturaly the better fighters and boxers and say naaaaaaaaaaaa its just there is/was a larger pool in poverty/in the gutter so there therefore more chance to find a good one !
so say just because someone is 6 foot 5 , runs fast, and is ripped that he would naturally make a good fighter is bull !!
look at it in reality this sports a joke were the best hardly take big challenges anyway ................................. to even know whos the best in any one division is impossible ! becouse they dont fight each otherComment
