when did europe and cuba rule the division? this is the most important aspect of the argument.

Pretty simple the best athletes in Europe have never gone into boxing hence the whole argument is nul and void every country loses its best athletes to other sports that are more popular in that particular country it pretty damn simple concept to grasp.

I haven't see anyone bring up college and economic reasons. Someone correct me if Im wrong, but isn't college in Europe free or at least much cheaper than it is here? I know it is very expensive here and boxing is not amongst the sports you can receive scholarship money. From an early age kids are exposed to football and basketball in school. Sports is also the easiest way to an education for those who can't afford it. I know thousands and thousands of scholarships are given out every year for football and basketball. How many are given out for boxing in the US. So its just ridiculous to think that hasn't had an impact on our larger fighters. As the world opens up of course it will gain ground on whoever is in the lead at ANYTHING, that's just how the cookie crumbles. But to think there are no other contributing factors is just ignorance.

As far as basketball and American "hand egg", it is HUGELY competitive here in the states, with millions of youngsters playing both sports from a young age.

The US is doing fine in boxing, they are still the top dog and I think will always be the top dog.

The higher classes ARE being affected by the NBA and NFL but by a culture standpoint. Not like through Lebron james into a boxing ring and he will be a star.

Its how the culture has changed. The NFL and NBA is far bigger then it ever was and the jr, peewee leagues are booming also. The big kids are pushed more to basketball and football these days and these tons of programs for them unlike boxing which does not promote anything.

The talent pool is very very thin and will be for a long long time
