Seems like Broner tickets come cheap because you see guys like Nonito sold half as many tickets yet made more then twice the gate

The last four that had more comps than tickets sold is just pathetic.

            That's a slight exaggeration. =)

Donaire-Mathebula sold about 1,600 fewer tickets, brought in a gate about $12,000 higher.

              Thats a big difference

He sold tickets at $56 a piece average when Broner sold $32

Indeed. Not at all dis*****g that. Just saying it's an exaggeration to say half the tickets (about one-third) and twice the gate (about 10 percent higher gate).

Tell you this, though — one card was better for building a market for future fights, and that was the one that had cheaper ticket prices and only 300 comps.

Low ticket prices are good for the fans. Cheap ticket prices now means more people in attendance, which will lead to a good fan base that will grow with the fighter. Once Broner becomes a true headliner those prices will go up but he will have established a good fan base by then.
