There's no such thing as too much supply, only too high prices. Markets will clear. I don't get why promoters love to sell expensive tickets and then give away the remainders.

The other revenue is obviously the money they get from the Cable networks. And as long as HBO is getting 1.4 million+ viewers on a BAD card they're going to keep on paying big money to show Broner.

I really wouldn't worry about not drawing much of a gate. Broner has only been a TV fighter for a little over a year and barely became a world champion 8 months ago. He's 23. He might not be much of a draw right now, but most fighters in Broner's position wouldn't be able to draw that many people.

Also, many people these days just prefer to stay home or go to a bar to watch sporting events. This isn't just a problem with boxing. Attendance is down for almost every major sport in the USA.

You are semi correct about America, I just think its harder to get the attention of the casual fan in America. Most casual fans here don't follow the sport close enough to know a talented athlete until they are already a star. We don't support our fighters like other countries. In many other countries like Mexico they support their fighter just because he's Mexican. Here in America we don't really do that.
it dont work here in america but other countries like england, germanyscotland, mexico dont need to show home fighters fighters to make them stars, in america, most fighters never due become stars and still dont get star attendance, anywhere else you get 30000 plus crowds and no loss profit, while here in america we have to lose money in order of hope that our fighter might become a big time sucess, lol, usually doesnt happen though

I agree with you on this for the most part but to say it doesn't work isn't correct. I doesn't work all the time but when it does work out it makes a **** load of money. The highest paid boxers of all time are American.

They expect to multiply their earnings from their investment down the road. Plus they are Broner haters also.
