Steward is actually a great trainer for Khan because of his history of teaching his fighters how to AVOID inside fighting. Steward never added inside games to Lennox or Wladimir after devastating defeats, he just taught them how to avoid fighting on the inside. Tbe biggest difference with Khan will be that Amir will have to implement Steward's tactics without having near the physical strength in comparison to his opposition as Lennox and Wlad have had; unlike them, Khan is usually the physically weaker fighter.

Steward will teach him how to effectively use his size, length, and speed; Emanuel might be his best option.
Dead-on analysis here^^^ Khan will never have a chin....just like Hearns, Lewis, and Wlad....Stewart took those 3 to HOF status by accentuating their strong points. Khan doesn't have the concussive power of those 3 guys and probably won't reach their level.....but he can still have a productive $$$ career and make his mark under Manny.

Excuses are like ******s everybody has one and some more than others... Roach or training camps the whole time he was with Roach... Roach could not give him a chin and Manny can't give him one neither... A better quality ref would have took points or scored knockdowns in the Maidana fight when he turned his back 5 times to his opponent to avoid knockdowns and the ref only told Maidana not to punch to the back of the head and didn't warn Kahn that it's illegal to turn your back to your opponent to avoind punches... But sooner or later Khan was going to get exposed... He was overrated and hyped before Prescott and nature has run its course...

Steward did a great job with Lennox Lewis and Klitchko, who both had chin issues. If Khan listens and boxes, he can still be a great fighter.

Steward is way overrated as a trainer. Just listen to his ridiculous "expert analysis" commentary, he is rarely ever on point.

Worse trainer he could ask for.

There is a 99% chance Khan will be knocked out again before his career ends if he hires Emmanuel Steward as his trainer.

                  Khan's chin is broken.

No matter what happens, his opponents know it can be broken again and as long as that hope remains they'll never feel truly overwhelmed.

Cant give him a chin so go to the trainer who knows how to train a chinny fighter. Khan is athletic (and young) enough where Emmanuel can hopefully salvage his career. I dont expect a hall of famer but he should be successful and contend constantly. I expect his discipline to improve and have a better sense of spacing and clinching (oh and he will clinch lol). Wish him the best.
