Warren just lost a fair fight to a Frenchman.

Unlucky. But AM boxing is worthless according to you, so I guess it doesn't matter anyway.

Terrell should keep his head up and focus on bigger and better things than the boxing olympics.
America is in a little bit of denial here. There is a talent shift which has occurred and still occurring around Middleweight and on to Heavy, and its a trend that started in Am Boxing. The first sign that the American heavy pool was drying up was 1992 and it's never turned around. Look at most of the best young Middles (Golovkin etc.) coming from overseas. On a man by man basis, things can vary but the trend lines tell a bigger story.

Yes but in 2000-2008 very few medal winners from middle on have been tremendous boxers. There are a few cases to make... mostly all from 04, but generally it doesn't paint a good picture for olympic medalists to top tier professionals.

Mexico dominates pro boxing yet historically has not been a force in the amateurs. They are almost two different sports now, really.

Yes, Mexico dominates pro boxing. They have more world champions at the moment than any other single country (or at least that was the case last time I checked, maybe they've lost a few since then.)

mexico doesn't dominate pro boxing............actually far from it.

& titles means squat in this day & age because their practically throwing them to anyone.

no one is "dominating" the pros. but america has the best quality of fighters.........

Boxing is well represented by a lot of countries.the corrupt sanctioning bodies make champion/titles less meaningful imo.

Are you upset because I praised Mexico because you're Puerto Rican?

I don't mean to get into the middle of that rivalry but if you can't admit that Mexico has more pro world champions than almost any other country then you're just not being objective.

The fact that they do so well in the professional ranks, and so poorly in the amateurs, says a lot to me.
