Btw this is boxing. Robberies will happen NO MATTER what.

I would prefer 10 point must system as it would reward fighters doing damage and scoring knockdowns which would encourage aggressiveness in general but are we forgetting that it was changed from a 10 point must system to what it is currently for the exact same reason we're all complaining about now, corruption and terrible decisions.
Don't think its really going to change much and people acting like pro boxing has any more integrity are lying to themselves.
I still don't understand why they couldn't award more points for standing 8 counts and knockdowns under the current system. Two points for a stadning 8 and four points for a KD for example. The incentive to score damage would also pursuade a style change as it rewards aggressiveness.
I'm not sure about no headgear either since amateurs fight in tournament formats. Fighting 5 or 6 fights in the span of a week or two without any is almost guarenteed to result in cuts, swollen eyes, etc which will result in a epidemic of winning fighters who are unable to continue in the next round due to injuries. Think about that, a fighter puts on a brilliant display in the semi finals but can't fight in the Gold medal match since his eye closed up. Gold medal fight is won via a bye, that is as unsatisfying and hollow as it gets.Comment

That was no robbery. That Indian frustrated Gausha, got the last blows in the exchanges and finished the rounds strong. 10 million Indians and I can't be wrong. The scoring might have been unfair in round 2, but the Indian led after the first and did well in the third. Close, but no robbery.Comment

it was a close fight, I don't think Gausha got completely robbed but I was more impressed with him then the guy that "BEAT HIM" who has been getting a lot of hype of the years and apparently has a huge Following in IndiaComment

I'm glad you are not scoring these fights because "the indian" got taken to school in the 3rd round, and was blatantly outscored. BLATANTLY. There is no way possible to argue that they both landed an equal number of scoring blows in the 3rd round.

Yeah because there haven't been any robberies under the 10 point must system in the pro gameHelp is on it's way. After this Olympic Games the scoring system will be the same as the Pro's. They will be using the 10 point must system. We can start right away or we can wait until the 1st of the year. By January 1st, everyone has to use this system. As the President of the New Jersey Association of USA Boxing I can not wait!
This won't change anything, people will still get robbed. Now undertaking real investigations and handing lifetime bans to corrupt refs and judges, that would change things, but of course we all know that'll never happen.Comment

Ramirez was beaten fairly.
And the Vajinder - Gausha fight was close.
No screwing going on here. I actually thought Gausha won, but it could have gone either way.Comment

Exactly, Vijender Singh won fair and square...That was no robbery. That Indian frustrated Gausha, got the last blows in the exchanges and finished the rounds strong. 10 million Indians and I can't be wrong. The scoring might have been unfair in round 2, but the Indian led after the first and did well in the third. Close, but no robbery.
But they are just pissed, well at least they can believe that Gausha will destroy him in a pro fight, because for them amateur style of fighting doesn't translate to fighting pro.
Just look at Clemente Russo a fighter that fights amateur style, and he's unbeaten at the World Series of Boxing, or Calzaghe with his herky jerky slapping amateur style and he beat Hopkins, Roy Jones, Bika, Kessler, etc.Comment
