Back in the day that is all we saw. Guys that would pound the bags, spar, run, sit-ups and do lots of jump rope. Basically it was hard work that got them there. They also fought in their own weight class or above it.
Today it is all about guys trying to fight in the lowest weight class possible. Starving themselves, weight and conditioning coaches etc.
Back then dudes ran out of steam generally by their early to mid 30's. Hard work does take a toll on a body eventually. Floyd is getting near that mark now. He is slowing down some, but he fights infrequently enough that he might get a couple more years in the game.Comment

so you actually believe that the small amount of training and footage we see on 24/7 and youtube hi-lites is it? you have to be smarter than this and that whole junk food crap is misleading...Comment

now this is what i call thinking!!!!!!!!!! good post!Cmon man you know he doesn't eat like crap. It's an ego he puts on for the cameras. Just like when Floyd says he doesn't watch boxing, or when Sam Watson was pretending to not know who Pacquiao or Canelo were. It's popular within that community to pretend you're doing something.Comment

He' does have a guy who gives him HGH/ Roids thoughAnd he is always in shape. He eats like crap, and trains himself. He does the same basic workout routine of dumbell shadow boxing circuits, neck harness reps with 25 pound weight, chin ups, dips, and get ups for abs, and ended with Jump rope.
Every other boxer seems to have a fancy strength trainer and nutritionist but Floyd eats junk food and does his own circuit routines.
Are strength/conditioner/nutritionists overrated? Does plain hardwork and old school training trump all?Comment

Thanks, there is a guy on here who actually sent me a message that basically said "you people need to get over it" of course after reading it I didn't respond but used my favorite tool on this site and put that clown on ignore.Comment
