    Hatton vs Marquez

Great counter puncher who can be hit vs an effective aggressive fighter who leaves oppurtunities for his opponent. Who do you have?

This is the fight I wanted in 2010.

Would have been an amazing fight. Great clash of styles.

There is no question that Marquez has the skills to have made Hatton look silly, but he never really fought at 140 pounds so could he have hurt Ricky and taken his shots?

For those who think Marquez wins, how does he handle Hatton's inside game?

From what I've seen Marquez has no inside game worthy of the name and Hatton gets right on every opponents chest (the exception being Pacquiao).

I don't think it's a good style-match up for Marquez, he would have difficulty with Hatton's mauling style.

JMM is the better fighter, but Hatton is likely too big for him. I'm tempted to take Hatton because of the size.

Recent JMM around 140 suggests yes he could take Hatton's shots. JMM probably doesn't hit as hard as Floyd or Pac though, so maybe Ricky loses by wide UD rather than KO.

see the inside game and underrated foot speed of Hatton are what i think makes this a good fight

Weebler, no inside skills???? I realize Hatton is your favorite fighter but you're better than that! Inside is where JMM prefers to fight and is most effective. Inside is where JMM applies what Lampley refers to as his craft. If this fight happens, Hatton will have his moments but JMM wins a close but deserved decision 116-113.
