What's Worse: Pacquiao draining Cotto by 2 lbs, Or Ward draining Dawson by 7 lbs?

I wasn't aware that Ward asked for Dawson to fight at 168. As a matter of fact it was Dawson that asked for the fight & offered to come to 168.

Meanwhile Pacman originally wanted Cotto at 143,but Cotto refused to come in any lower than 145. I don't know how that is even comparable.

Well...Dawson's only unfinished business at 175 is to avenge the Pascal loss. 168 has the money fights for him: Froch, Bute (Big $ in Quebec), Dirrell, Pavlik, etc. If he sucessfully moves down, I wouldn't be surprised if he stays.

Unless he goes back up to 175 to fight Cloud, Cleverly, Kessler or somebody.

Man, Dawson is a HUGE guy. I'll be surprised if he can make 168 but if he does I don't think he will be doing it for too long.

Cotto just moved down 1 lb against Pac and has 5 months to do it safely. Fighters came iin overweight by 1, 2 lbs or more during weigh-in sometimes in their fights and they can shred it in a hour or two without affecting their performance . Cotto has 5 months to do it. Dawson shredding 7 lbs is a bit tricky and may have an impact on his performance.

Idiot is only for the Floydiots. Did you forget the floydiot motto. "Pac must take the Floyd invented test because I can believe how the hell he beat those weight drained shot past prime fighter paid to lose"?

Uh oh. U said "period" that automatically indisputable...

Damn, cuz I was gonna point out how this crying over weight thing is only valid in hindsight... In hindsight, Cotto was getting to big for the weight class and moved up, so dropping to 145 didn't make anything easier for him... Right now, we don't know what Chad will be like at 168, so there's literally nothing you can say... For all u know, Chad is better and stronger at 168, thus rendering this thread moot...

Wait and see before u start with this cry baby crap... I will bet that Ward would get less credit for beating a mummified weight drained Dawson than Pac did beating a mummified weight drained De La Hoya...

Anyway, that's what I was gonna say before u said "period"

U really think Cotto weight 146 the whole 5 months? He didn't even weight 146 the night after the weigh... Forgive me if that's not what u were getting at, but that's what it sounds like, and if that is what u were trying to say... Defending Pacquiao is starting to effect braincells

If a guy can't give another ounce 1 pound can be a heck of a lot of weight, but a different guy can give 7 and be completely fine.

Depends on the guys and situation, just saying this guy gave more so it is worse is terribly flawed reasoning.

Pacquiao draining Cotto is worse because it was blatant. There was no need to fight at 145...
