What's Worse: Pacquiao draining Cotto by 2 lbs, Or Ward draining Dawson by 7 lbs?

Pure speculations here but can't ignore it either.

they'd be silly if they did not ask, dawson's people that is. but i cant tell you how it went down exactly.

Pretty sure Ward will get plenty of criticism for that~ people had no issue criticizing him for various dirty things he does in the ring or the fact that most of his fights are in Oakland.

It is not like he is some sacred cow that never gets criticism~

        There's no argument here.

Ward has a much bigger advantage over dawson than pacquiao had over cotto. Period.

Exactly my thoughts and the reason why I was speculating it that way. If Dawson seems fine with the weight I won't have a problem with it. If not, he's gonna catch some heat around here.

Dawson remains champion at 175 if he loses.

If I were I guessing man I would think Ward's stance is "if my belts are on the line, fight has to be at my weight class"

              sounds reasonable

if the fight close i'd love to see a rematch at 175. that would be bliss for boxing goofballs like the fine gentlemen in this thread.

They could of done a catchweight and nobody's belt would had been on the line. What good are Ward's belts for Dawson at 168? Assuming he wins. Except to say he's a 2 division champ...

the only difference in the situation is that dawson is challenging ward for his belts and ward's weight. thats what a challenger does.

pac challenged cotto for his belt at a fictional weight. thats not what a challenger does.

to me thats the difference. u should not be allowed to make up a weight class u want to challenege someone for their belts. whether the weight had an effect on cotto or not, thats still bs. if u wanna do **** like that, make it a fight where the belts dont matter.
