Pacquiao did not need Cotto to come down to 145 to defend his own title. It's a wait and see with Dawson and Ward. With Cotto Pacquiao fans knew Pacquiaos team was trying to drain Cotto.

DLH had just fought at 150, Pac was coming up from 135. Or if we go back one fight, went down 1, Pac up 3 weghtclasses. Ward is still in his first, I'm surprised he wouldn't go for Dawson's lineal belt.

Floyd took less cherry picked fights = lesser risk to preserved his 0. Floyd is clever by following his motto seriously. "Self preservation comes first." You see...its been 5 years since he retired and came back. How many fights did he fought in those 5 years? just 4 fights bro! Just four fight! Less cherry picked fights mean a lesser risk to his 0 record.
