He's really only had 3 or 4 tough fights in his whole career and his best attributes are not of the kind that fade with age. His biggest attributes are his ring intelligence and this dedication, they are the reasons why he is so far ahead of anyone else in this era and I don't expect either of them to just go away with time. We'll see what happens but I expect him to find it difficult to step away from the game in the next 3 years. I think that he will still want to be around once Manny Pacquiao has retired.
the truth is pacquiao won't be around for too longer............cotto, hatton, judah, sosa, castillo, corley, Augustus, chavez, were all tough fights in my opinion.

he has attributes that aren't of the kind that fade? dude, that has mostly to do with your individual body. yes a guy thats a come forward brawler is least likely to have a long career. but most fighters aren't near their best @ 38 + (that goes for come forward brawlers or even boxers) when you get close to 40 it's time to close the door.......

you don't expect his ring attributes to go away with time?

I'll tell you that you live in a naive world kido. time & age deteriorates any boxers abilities.

mayweather has all of the money that he wants...........most boxers that fight @ 38+ still need the money, so they **** up their bodies at an older age...........

I'm almost certain that mayweather won't be fighting @ 38+

More common than not, that good or great champs are mostly doing fine at 35. Look at Sergio, Froch....35 isnt that old nowadays.

So floyd will be gone at 38, that makes it one more fight then, considering Floyd fights maybe one or 2 times at most in 3 years.

Or Archie Moore. Floyd hasn't taken a lot of punishment, but his style is dependent on reflexes. We'll see if he deteriorates anytime soon. I don't think he'll fade significantly before hanging them up.

No, but fighters fight so much less than they use to it allows for less wear and tear which in turn allows them to compete longer.
