He failed a drug test as did his opponent both for androstenedione which is a very weak steroid & was available O.T.C & was made by Twinlab also at the same they sold Ripped fuel, so it is very possible it was from contamination.

I agree. Whilst steroids are clearly rife in boxing & all sports for that matter (I think a lot would be shocked at just how many have/do take) I do believe a fair few maybe unfairly fail drug tests.
I mean take for example how many boxers use say whey protein/multi vits/creatine, most of these companies also make pro-hormones & such, now if that equipment isn't cleaned thoroughly or those substances come in contact, that is likely going to make you fail a drug test.

As for contamination, I don't know bro. I think if a supplement was contaminated, trace amounts would have showed up in the tests. Kinda like Berto's test. But being 6x over the normal limit? Sounds like RJJ was loading up to me.

thats why you have your team of conditioners for its not up to the fighter to go and buy over the counter stuff i mean what the fighter must be thinking to do that with not consulting his team seems dodgy enough lack of confidence on what his team is doing springs to my my mind

Not all these athletes fail because they're directly taking steroids and trying to 'cheat' many fail from something as silly as a contaminated supplement.
I am not condoning steroid use though the rep they have by the media is B/S
Without the ins & outs you don't know and frankly I'm not even sure how most people who don't have any knowledge in nutrition, AAS or anything else can even comment.

What did he test positive for?
Andro.
Where could you get andro at the time?
GNC
Where is GNC?
Any Mall
How many levels was he over?
5-6 Times
Who did he fight in this fight he tested positive for?
Richard Hall
Who else tested positive for this same exact chemical?
Richard Hall
How much was Richard Hall over the limit?
10 times.
How much did all of that help Richard Hall?
Zero
Whether he took ripped fuel or a nasal decongestant doesn't matter, what he tested positive for, was being put in energy drinks and sold at malls across the nation. This wasn't some syringe style hardcore steroid.
At the time he took it, it wasn't illegal, it was however banned by the sport of boxing, and he's a ****** for taking it.

If I remember correctly they both were taking some form of androsteindione which back then was a legal over the counter supplement. It does raises the testaterone level and it was banned once baseball Mike McGuire admitting taking it when a reporter saw the bottle in his locker.
